Q. What is your starting pay per mile?
A. 37-41 cpm based on experience, raise to 41 cents when you reach 120,000 miles
Q. How often will I get home?
A. Our average time out is 14-17 days, you will receive 1 ½ days off for every 7 you are away from home
Q. How many miles can I expect weekly?
A. 2500-3000 miles average, this will vary based upon length of time away from home
Q. What is your average length of haul?
A. 900-1000 miles
Q. What type of equipment will I be driving?
A. We run Mack trucks, vision and Pinnacle class, average age of the fleet is 2 ½ years, trailers are 48 foot spread axle trailers
Q. Do I need a Haz-Mat endorsement?
A. No, E.W Wylie does not haul Haz-Mat loads in our flatbed division
Q. What are you running lanes?
A. We run all 48 states but 75-80 % of our freight is between the Rockies and the East coast, we run very little North East and Florida with the rest of our freight being in the Western 11
Q. What are you qualifications to drive?
A. 6 months verifiable over the road in the last 2 years, No DUI’s or DOT Reportable accidents within the last 3 years, no reckless driving or hit and run charges within last 5 years
Q. Where are you terminals?
A. Our home office is in Fargo ND, with terminals in Des Moines, IA AND Denver, CO as well as Fort Worth TX, and Albertville, MN
Q. Do you have a student program?
A. We currently work with approved schools near each of our terminals, please contact the terminal in your area for details
